Director's Statement From our birth, we are socialized into a patriarchal system and spend our lives experiencing its damaging consequences. Men are forced to repress pain and deny their feelings, living in a constant state of emotional numbness. I wanted to make a film about this terrible void, told from the perspective of an older gay man.
