Both are part of my identity, but watching my friends and family having to come to Europe really troubled me. It’s very difficult and conflictual, having to leave one’s country that isn’t in a good place, to go and try to live in a new one where the system isn’t very welcoming of you. And growing up, one discovers oneself ; it can be quite lonely, to be stuck in between contradictions and questions at such a young age… but I hope somehow this film depicts this situation so hopefully we can start understanding and loving each other and ourselves just the way we are, all of us, wherever we are, whatever we are
