Director's Statement Through the portrait of the young protagonist's illusions, I wanted to question the mechanisms of desire formation in the context of contemporary capitalism, particularly in a generation that has been symbolically and materially dispossessed, to whom we have left, as a society, few paths leading towards recognition and fulfilment. I want to understand how digital networks operate in the production of shared dreams, closing an imaginary horizon of possibilities, and what tools we have today to measure and quantify personal satisfaction. What spaces and material conditions are we leaving new generations to project a desirable future existence? Who defines today what constitutes a desirable life? Are some aspirations more legitimate than others, and what role does class contempt play in establishing this hierarchy?
