Director's Statement
The story follows a character who, in a quest to break free
from societal expectations and childhood trauma, seeks to escape human constraints through a symbolic and physical return to nature. The transformation into an animal is not
mere fantasy but an act of resistance — an intimate and necessary journey toward identity and survival.
​Through minimal dialogue and poetic imagery, We Are Animals delivers a raw and visceral reflection on our relationship with fear, belonging, and the natural world.
