Director's Statement
Desire and the ways in which it comes to expression fascinate but also terrify me. In the film, a woman – a mother – talks about giving up control while in a staged role-play with a lover.
She is in control when she allows him to dominate her. They give, they receive, their needs match, and desire is unleashed. The concept for the film is inspired by a type of irrationality that is characteristic of desire.
The camera is the main character; I call her Marilyn. She is impulsive and a bit impatient.
​When she looks at something, she is inspired and begins mixing reality with her own fantasies.
