On a Sunday of 1990, William and his son Jacobo go out to the nearest pool. Colombian villages and public pools are full of ordinary people who enjoy the sunny Sundays, along with obscure and stunning drug traffickers and killers. Jacobo’s innocent astonishment presages the death hidden at the end of a happy day. This will be their last day together.

Director's Statement This is an autobiographical film. It’s about the last Sunday I spent with my father, before he was killed. Each frame is a memory of my childhood, in contrast with menacing off-camera sounds, that suggest a violent atmosphere. I want to talk about the violent history of my country through personal experiences without necessarily focusing on violent images. I think it is important, as a filmmaker, to detach ourselves of making a show of the violence. My conviction is in wondering on its causes and effects. I am interested in showing up a non-official history told through ordinary characters.
